Who is allowed to give you a reference on your ucas application?

I have almost completed my UCAS application and all i am really waiting for now is for the references. I've got to have 2. I've been told that my form tutor must give me one (however, if we would like someone else to give us this reference instead of the form tutor, we are allowed to ask another teacher). But we have been told that the other reference must come from the referee which is the head of sixth form. The thing is though, the head of sixth form really doesn't like me to say the least so i'm so scared she won't write me a very good reference. Do you think i would be allowed to get someone else to give me a reference instead of her? But she is the referee though...does that matter?

Hope you can help!

Love Vera

Your tutor will write your main reference, your head of year will then read it to make sure its ok and write a shorter reference if he/she feels other information should be added.

Your referees aren't allowed to give bad references so don't worry about it.

What happened with us was our head of sixth form asked each of our subject teachers to submit a reference and then put them together and signed it himself, you should see if this is what is happening with you.
