What are my chances of getting into these colleges with my credentials?

(Not a credential but I'm good at writing essays)

"Fit" means I think your grades, SATs and etc. make it quite possible that you'll be admitted. "Reach" means that you could apply, but don't count on getting in. "Backup" means you really should get into those schools. They may be safety schools for you.

Your math SATs are great. If you think you'd do better on the reading SAT if you took that exam again, maybe studied for it with a test prep book, you might want to do so. If you can bring your SAT up, then Cornell becomes more of a possibility. It's not an impossibility now, but if you could bring your reading SAT up just above a 600, you'd stand a real shot.



Even as you are, if you plan to major in tech/science/math/computer science or something along that route, I'd have you pick one more reach school. Your math SAT and your strong AP bio make me think you stand at least a chance, and it'd be worth applying.



And if you want to be a bio major, you may want to add SUNY Stony Brook to your list. Fit school for you, and well respected bio program.

Not sure about RPI and WPI...

You'll get in to SUNY no problem, and should get in to Northeastern and Rutgers as well. UMass Amherst and BU are match/safeties, and Cornell is a reach.

Your stats look good (though there's always room for SAT improvement) I'd even consider applying to to some more difficult schools, but of course this is your decision. I'm sure you'll get into many of these. Good Luck!
