Yes CS has good scope in India. Also, over the past decade, CS has invaded every field, be it biology, chemistry or non-CS engineering disciplines. So, as of 2014, great coding skills and CS knowledge can be considered as a great asset. Also, India has been a service provider up until the past few years. Presently, there is a lot of focus on developing innovative products in India as opposed to being just a global software service provider. You have plenty of startups in areas such as big data, wearable tech, mobile technologies etc and most are being very well funded. In a nutshell, this is a great time to be taking CS in India.

However, to get into a great company such as Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon etc. you will have to work extremely hard as CS is very competitive. Do impressive projects such as Google summer of code, Github etc. , enter lots of programming competitions, look up websites such as hackerrank and solve as much problems as possible. All this will help you find great core jobs in MNCs.
