Questions about university?

I'm applying with UCAS, and i have a choice of five universities but the problem is that i have to make a personal statement about two different courses. I'm applying for media studies and television at four universities but I'm also applying for education with english at cambridge. How can i make the statement.
And i can't choose a college for Cambridge, i'm hesitating between Jesus College and Clare College.
PLEAS HELP ME !

If you are smart enough to go to Cambridge you should not be considering Media Studies. It is a Mickey Mouse degree.........Have a re think.

Trying to cater for two completely different courses in one personal statement is application suicide. Seriously I've seen far too many good applicants without a single offer for a place at university because they tried to write a personal statement for fashion and religious studies or something mad like that.



Besides, they are SO conflicting. What A Levels have you studied? If you've studied anything like Media Studies at A Level Cambridge won't touch you with a barge pole. They'll also ask for something along the lines of A*AA, to include English Literature or Language at A Level. Make sure you know what you're getting yourself into.

The two choices you've made are really weird - why would you consider either education or TV?!! Surely you should be choosing a subject that you want to pursue and then going for that course at two different unis?? And obviously you should know how hard it is to get into Cambridge, so if you make any reference to the fact that if they don't accept you then you will be going elsewhere to do media then chances are they won't look at you twice. Why would they want to teach someone about eduation when that person is clearly not bothered by it? I think you should focus on the Cambridge application, talk about how passionate you are about education and maybe include somw things about communication methods to cover the other subjects, but otherwise focus on your personal life and who you are.

You Can't End of story, Pick one, then decide 5 choices related to it. When your applying to cambridge you need every little thing to put yourself ahead of the other people applying, If you write you want to do media studies in your personal statement then they will put your application on the reject pile.
