Hello people. I graduated high school lasted year, wasted a year doing nothing, and now I have decided to finally come to terms with what I want to do with the rest of my life. I'm the type of person who knows what she likes and guess what; I don't like any particular thing more than the other. All throughout my high school years, I didn’t develop an interest in anything. I’ve been doing a lot of self-reflecting, but can’t seem to determine what it is that I want to do for the rest of my life. I’ve thought about and pictured myself in almost every single career out there. Now I am trying to determine my career by the process of elimination. So far, on my list is: technology and innovation. I’m kind of starting to come to a realization that my dream job is in the technology sector…more so innovative technology. It should be something that has to do with innovative technology. Basically, as of now I’m exploring different careers in technology. I’ve thought about becoming an engineer because I like the aspect of building things, but I’ve never been exceptionally good at math, so I’ve ruled that out as well. Any who, if you got any ideas for careers that fit my description, please do let me know. And yes, I do know that industrial designer kind of fits the description, but I don’t think I’m creative enough. Please please help me out!!!! I Would like to know any interesting and decent paid careers in the technology sector as well. Thanks a lot!!! Any advice is appreciated.

I know that this isn't really the answer you want, but you won't decide what you want to do until you go to college. The fact is, high school doesn't delve into any subject enough to prove your interest. Luckily the first two years of college are generally devoted to gen ed courses. Go start with that and wait to declare your major (since no one declares a major freshman year). You'll learn more about various careers before you set your life in stone.

You could always look into Computer Science, and get your bachelors, there is endless amounts of differnt types of jobs you could be doing with that degree, you could be a programmer, or a network administrator, or teach in the future, I work in the Computer Science Department, at the University of North Dakota, every student in the department I talk to loves the major, and wouldn't think about doing anything else.

Don't rule out engineering. The only engineers who have to know a LOT of math are electrical engineers. Calculus and Differential Equations is probably all you'd need for Mechanical, chemical, or Civil.
