That depends completely upon your school. At my last one, the maximum was 6 credits. There are some schools which are year-round and have the same limits during summer that they do during the traditional academic year (but at my school, that would have been 18). Some of the reason for this is that at many schools, summer school is concentrated, and so taking 2 classes may be the equivalent of taking five during the academic year. Taking 20 hours could be the equivalent of taking 50 during the year if your summer sessions are less than 15 weeks. Talk to your advisor, not to people on Yahoo! Answers, about this.

I think the max you can take is 9 hours. Th reason for that being because the summer session isn't as long as the spring or fall semester so you will be taking the classes most likely every day. And for the fall or spring semester you'd have to have the deans approval to take that many classes.
20 hours is about 6 classes. I'm guessing you are in high school, because not to be rude, but if you were in college you'd know that was pretty much impossible. Don't try and rush through school because it's a lot of work and if you try to overload your courses and then fail them, then you've wasted a semester because they won't count.

I'm taking 12 hours this summer, and it's taking a huge toll on my free time (I'm working, too). All of my classes are in different blocks, so the first one lasted two weeks (glorious), and I have one in June, and two in July.
I don't think there's any way you could take 20 hours during the summer and make good grades. There's just simply not enough time, and summer classes are extremely rushed as it is. The number you can take depends on your ability to buckle down and teach yourself (most summer profs aren't too helpful), and how many your school will let you take. I take between 18-20 hours every regular fall/spring semester, though, and that's not too bad - but I know I can handle it.
Only take what you know you can handle, or getting out early will just make you look bad. Good grades trump speedy college every time.

They did require you to spend 10 hours at a school staring at a particular desires classification even regardless of the undeniable fact that it may variety via college. I took some edu instructions on-line and had no issues. solid good fortune. :)

My school does a late spring session and a summer one, and for full time they require 6 credits each session.
