well I like computers, programming specially, but i get to choose either to go to Utah Valley University for Computer science or BYU for Information Technology, I'm not sure which path will be the best in terms of salary and job satisfaction, I like both fields but leaning towards Computer Science to be a programmer, from what i hear CS field is more recognized in the computer field as compared to IT, but BYU would be more prestigious though, I could go for Computer Science at BYU, but they have a really hard CS program, not sure I would be successful. well any help from people in the field would be appreciated, thank you.

the school sites are as following:
UVU: uvu.edu/cs
BYU: cs.byu.edu

Please serious answers as for this pertains to my future career forever. thank you.

Yeah, I don't know what that other guy is smoking . . . BYU is more prestigious than UVU by far and even outside of Utah. He must base his college knowledge on Dancing with the Stars or something.

You should study the subject you like and are the most talented at. I don't like the sound of going for a program at a college because the comparable one at another is harder. You'll always have that in the back of your mind. So if I were in your shoes, I'd bite the bullet and go for the harder CS program, or go for IT. You'll have to figure out which you like the most though, that's what will make you happiest ultimately even if it is hard.

BYU has been around for much longer than UVU which gives it the prestige in it's program. However, UVU is a school where you can really engage in your education. As a student at UVU you'll have a much more intimate relationship with your professors than you would a BYU. As you prepare to enter the job market it will be important to not only have a degree, but to have engaged learning experiences, e.g. Internships, projects with professors, student leadership, service, and so on. UVU will provide you with the best opportunities if you seek them. Best of luck with your decision.

Oh My, aren't you in for a rude awakening. The idea of using the word 'prestigious' with any Utah university is not going to be supported when you are in the real world.

I think UVU is one of the most interesting schools in the country and you ought to have a great and enjoyable college experience.

If praying to God would desire to truly make a distinction then my college (TCU, classification of seventy 8) would desire to kick Utah's at the back of actual in basic terms like we embarrassed BYU. So in case you men whip BYU (which i desire you do) it's going to make our victory over you even sweeter. Gig 'Em, Frogs! EDIT: Ugh, Josh, the final time BYU lost a convention interest became into in 2008 against TCU! Or are you attempting to forget this interest?
