As a nurse, you will be required to do a few math problems which will mostly be division, multiplication, addition and subtraction. I would advice you to take any math you feel would best suite you for this. You won't doing any Calculus as a nurse, so that would just serve for more of a learning experience than anything. I would say stats would be a better bet over Calculus, because you won't be doing anything too in-depth; some lessons you might need in your nursing program. My brother is a nurse and took stats during his tenure at school and never touched any Calculus, and he did excellent in school.

For pre-nursing you're going to need to take both, but stats in general is easier so I would recommend that.

Statistics. Most programs have that as a pre-req for nursing schools.

Statistics and College Algebra are staples in all, if not most, Nursing programs.
