Question:
Which college is best for ME? UCSD or SDSU?

I am not interested in which school is considered better. I know UCSD is raked higher. I am interested in why. Would it be bad to go to SDSU. Are UCSD classes similar to AP classes? I did not do well in AP classes.

I know people at SDSU. They said [and I think there right] that it it not a party school inless you are in the dorms. I wont be in the dorms. UCSD did have this one music composition in anime class that was interesting. But, there are there ge required classes called DOC clasess, that seem APish.

I am most likely majoring in Physics, Japanese, Philosophy, and Music Composition. I want to travel abroad, probably to Japan. And I am not staying in a dorm. Dorms are out of the question.

So, I do not want to know which one is better. I want to know why.

Thank you.

Oh, I also know like 20 professors at SDSU who are absolutly wonderful people. I do not know any at UCSD.

If you want to study abroad you should check out the study abroad programs. Just so you know UCSD is known for engineering. I should know. I'm majoring in Civil Engineering at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I don't know much about SDSU, but since it is a cal state school it's a lot less expensive!!

We can probably have a lengthy discussion about whether to attend a UC or a CSU school. However, to be practical, you should ask some people what they think of the two schools and which one they would prefer. I will tell you why public perception is important. These people whom you have asked, they could be your hiring manager or someone even you meet at a bar. They may not know both schools in detail but most will say UCSD is "better" because it is ranked higher. People will form opinions about you depending on where you went to college. Sometimes you get a chance to presents other qualities about yourself but sometimes you don't get that chance such as when you submit a single page resume to a potential employer.

If you are going to major in Physics, I highly suggest UCSD. CSUs in general are very short on Physics majors so you are limited on the choice of electives. Besides, UCs are especially designed for theoretical subjects such as Physics. Since the Physics department is fairly small, even at UCSD, you should get plenty of individual attention from professors and TAs.

Living in the dorms is all part of the college life and I think it is a valuable experience. I think it will give you an opportunity to find out who you are by comparing yourself amongst your peers. If you are a San Diego resident and dorm life is too much, you can always come home on the weekend for a little peace and quiet.

I am also in the same position as you I got into both schools UCSD and SDSU and I am trying to figure out which one to go to. I am leaning toward SDSU, because of the costs and time left to graduate. I have friends at UCSD and know that you have to be ready to constantly study. I also am not going to be living at SDSU and have heard the same information that its not a party school unless you live on campus. SDSU is a very good school and has a lot to offer. I would recommend SDSU! Good Luck!

good, i don't be conscious of the placement you're, yet indoors the united kingdom you like chemistry ,and maximum places will p.c. yet yet another technological be conscious of-how/maths undertaking. you will might opt to take the UKCAT or BMAT (finding on college). you will might opt to get the utmost conceivable grades, because of the fact that is an exceedingly competetive undertaking, and get some good workexperience in a well being center/care domicile variety of place
