I think it depends on the size of the school. I have noticed that some college freshmen forgot that they weren't in high school anymore and try to pull that immature stuff, but for the most part everyone kind of minds their own business. In fact it can be easy to feel somewhat lonely at first because you may not know anyone and they don''t bother to get to know you, but when you get further into your major you start having classes with the same people and you start making at least acquaintances.

If you are going to a local college, you may find that students from high school grow up a lot eventually when the enter high school and aren't as mean anymore.

As far as being nervous. You will be. My first day of high school and college and literally trembled and felt like a weirdo. That's normal for us shy people. I think you will like college much better!

Students in college are much more accepting of different groups, and you will probably more easily find students with interests very similar to yours.

For example, I was a bit of a jock in high school, but in college I hang out with a chill, almost "hipster" crowd because of my major.

It will be a little like high school, but you will probably be much happier. Bullying really shouldn't be a problem in college.

Good luck!

It's okay to be nervous! I was in the same situation as you. Students in college are generally more open-minded and nicer since they've been freshmen before.

College is a time for you to have fun and enjoy new experiences! Enjoy it, and good luck!

Somewhat the same, but people are usually a bit more mellow in college.
