Do UK universities rankings differ drastically every year...?

I know there are different UK university rankings based on what organization conducted it. My rank interest is in The Times Good UK university ranking.
I would like to know if the rankings change drastically every year?
My sponsor will only support me if I get excellent grades at the end of the first year of a top 50 rank UK university by The Times.
My concern it this, what if I enrolled at a top 50 and after the completion of my first year, the university is not in top 50 rank anymore... Does it change drastically each year? Do I really need to apply to a top 10/20 just to be safe? The universities I'm interested in going for are in top 40 ranks...
Dundee, Aberystwyth, Keele, Hull, Heriot-Watt and Swansea to be exact

Thank you all in advance...

They can do because the rankings are heavily biased towards the narrow prejudices of the extremely ignorant journalists who make them up.

Anyone who takes newspaper rankings seriously is extremely naive. Newspaper ranking bear no relation to the universities own education ranking systems and are even further removed from the international rankings of universities.

Look at the courses you are interested in on the univesities web site and the UCAS site. See what kind of links the university has with industry and what jobs graduate have gone into.

Most universities have areas of speciality in which they are highly respected, so the general reputation of the university should not be your only guide.

The top 20 or so university are likely to remain the top 20 by any standards but to meaningfully rank them within that is difficult.

The rankings don't change that dramatically, but I would got top 40-35 to be on the safe side. Maybe you could speak to your sponsor and arrange it so that you get sponsored as long as the university is on the list now.

i latterly theory i replaced into commencing as much as be conscious fads circulate throughout the dogs section. when I first got here on, each and every dogs nutrition question had a minimum of 7 regulars telling them to change over to the BARF or uncooked nutrition habitual. I observed a cutting-edge question approximately Purina and the only guy or woman that reported uncooked have been given 7 TDs. Made me ask your self... Is the BARF nutrition habitual a fad? Are people over it? Or have the people who used to sell it left? I left Y!A because of the fact i replaced into annoyed with a number of the happenings, yet I got here lower back, and much to my marvel, when I got here lower back i found out specific people have been lacking. I have been speaking to BSL is the Pits for each week or so, yet then she left and she or he hasn't been lower back in 6 months. i assume this section gets tiring after a on an identical time as. i think of the reason people go away Y!A is they arrive to the tip that it will by no ability substitute. there'll consistently be BYBs, there'll consistently be people who very own animals yet can't cope with to pay for vet care, and there'll consistently be people who think of that it incredibly is exciting to return at here and get an improve out of folk by using speaking approximately dogs struggling with, and so on. -Alika613 EDIT: it is not that I meant fad in a bad way, yet i replaced into questioning if the common supporters left or if extra Purina people got here. I was certain like 6 or 7 people who oftentimes promoted it and reported it, yet i haven't seen that many people as of previous due. notice that i'm not utilising "Purina people" as an insult, only as a fashion of refering to the opposing view ingredient.
