Any effective strategies for memorizing Key Terms?

I always have a hard time with Multiple Choice exams and all of my finals are actually MC exams. I really wish to do well .. I do read the content again and again, but still feel like I just cannot guess the right answers ..

These are all just idea

-make a topic list for each subject and tick them off once you know it 100%

-make compressed and neat notes on everything

-read those notes before you sleep... Apparently our brain works better at night and when we are asleep and memorises information better

-get your friends to quiz you, or quiz yourself when you're walking or in a cafe...(when you quiz yourself, do it in your head and not out loud in public on your own LOOL )

-eat a banana

-good nights sleep



Remember quality is always better than quantity

Chose topics. take a topic and sub divide it in parts as per answer. take first letter of each sub division and combind all letters such as ANDTYBORDM. Now remember it just reading once. A stands for.........N stands for..........D stands for .........so all the letters stands for ......? you have to remember the word ANDTYBORDM and it will give you the answer of your question to be attempted. To remember this key word you can use your own language also and then spell it while writing answer. It will be easy to explain on the basis of each letter to what it stands for. This will work well for discriptive type answers



In objective type of answers where you have been given 4 choices and you have to chose one which is correct. It requires quiz type study. Ask question to you and give anser yourself in your mind, keep record to know how many are correct and how many are not. Give it thought and ask question again and again and answer them till you won't reach 100% correctness..



If you need to refer some "Quote" it should be exect in the same words of the "Quote" for any other matter you can write in your own words instead of what is written in the book, but its spirit should not be changed.



First attempt those questions which are easy for you and you know the answer well. Where you have to play your guess attempt those question in the last.



Don't use blind guess but also don't leave questions unattempted unless there is negative marking. If there is Negative marking attempt only those questions where you are 100% sure.

Rather than memorizing, try actually learning the material. If you can't explain a key term simply, using your own words, you don't actually know what it means. Memorizing is pretty much useless at the collegiate level unless you're taking a foreign language class and are learning new vocabulary words.

One golden rule to remember all question try to understand, Not memorize

if you memorize it will remember for very short period. If you understand what is question

and what they are saying in answers, then their no need to memorize the answers.
