No way. There are plenty of people that are in my college classes that are much older than you. And they are doing fine in college. Now is the perfect time to begin your college career! Good luck in whatever you choose to study!

22 is still pretty young. If you go to community college there is a high chance there will be someone even older than you. I know people that go back in their 30s and such to get a better position. Nobody is ever too old to go back, the oldest person I knew that went back was 48.

That's not necessarily true. I've heard of people as old as 40 or 50 going back to get a college education. Which is what its for: adults, no matter the age. So I reccomend that you do. That way, in the future, your life wont just be work and work. You'll have more free time, more opportunities to do what you want, and you'll live a more comfortable life in general.

Oh my gosh!!! You're NEVER too old for an education. Go back if it's really what you want to do and don't worry about being the oldest one in class for heaven's sake! You're not even old you're only 22!!! Don't let anything or anyone stand in the way of your dreams, especially something as silly as your age!

You need to change your thinking! I went back to college when I was 24 and I was still just a freshman at that time. I am now 28 and just started my graduate program. I will be at the very least, 32, when I finish my Ph.D. There were students in class that were in there 50's when I started back 4 years ago. You're never too old!

NO!!!! I went back to school at 28 and I wasn't even the oldest in the class! Heck, I'm 37 now, and I'm dying to go back again. I keep collecting degrees, but I have no idea what I want to do when I grow up. LOL! GO FOR IT!! Good luck!

You won't be the oldest one in class and there is no age limit for college. Schools that I go to always have students that are 20+. Stop worrying about your age if you really want to go to school.

Haha! 22??? thats not old. I thought you were going to be like 50 something. Obviously you are not too old. You are within the average age of a college student.
You are never too young! Go for it.

Heck no. I know of a woman who went to law school at age 50! You'll be the oldest, but hey, kids need a good role model to look up to. It might as well be you! It's never too late. Go for it! Best of luck!

Oh, you will be far from the oldest!!!!!! These days classes are filled from 15 to 55+ people! I have many students who have returned from the war after being gone a few years, men and women coming back to school, men and women with small children in their mid-20's trying to juggle school, work and raising kids.....you will fit in very nicely! Actually, depending on where you go to school you may not be the oldest. Plenty of schools these days have students in their 50s, 60s, 70s, etc. If going to school is a desire, by all means go for it!

Who cares, do you really think that the people that are thinking you are too old are going to matter to you when you are making a decent living because you got an education?!!
If it makes you feel better, I did not go to college until I was 28 and I was one of the younger ones. Please don't let people define who you are or what you become because you are afraid of what they think, they probably aren't thinking about it as much as you are. Good Luck and get enrolled ASAP

You can never be too old to go to school. I know I'm only 22 however, i will be going back to school for advertising. Education makes life better and gives you more ammo for the battles of living your life in the future hehe. So go on college man! Go on! :-P

no - you wont be the oldest in your classes.
about 50 percent of the people will be 18, about 40 percent in their early 20s, and 10 percent will be even older. You could easily have classes will people in their 50s or 60s.
It is never to late to learn.

You won't be the oldest-- we have people as old as their 60's (if not later) in class and they're great people. Go to college; it's worth it, and you won't be the oldest (by far)!

You're Definately not too old! I took some classes.. and there were at least four or five people in there 30 or older.. one lady had to be like 40.. I dont think you could ever be too old.. I'm gonna go back when i'm good and ready, even if i'm 60 :D

I had law school classmates who were approaching retirement age. You are never too old to do something that you really want to do. However, only go to college if its something you really want to do. A liberal arts degree from a non-prestigious school really isn't worth the tuition money anymore so only go to school if: (1) You really want to; and (2) You major in something actually useful to yourself and society - like nursing, education, computer science, engineering, chemistry, architecture, etc.
PS - Don't major in one of the liberal arts and thern go to law school when you can't get a job with the liberal arts degree, there's too many people doing that already!

No man, haha my dad about a year ago went to a little school place and we both got our GED, I was 18 at the time and he was 36. Think about that one. It's all good, when you want to get into a program into getting for education and money and stuff, go for it! It's good for and don't matter who's in there. Peace

first of all no one knows how old you are..
you can't tell if someone is a senior or a freshman when you are in class.
and even if you could, no one would care.
i had lots of non-traditional students (those who became mothers, got deployed, didn't know what to go to college for) in my classes (and my university is considered small.. about 25-100 ppl per class) and i never thought twice about it.
college is NOTHING like high school.

I don't know what college your planning on going to but at mine there are plenty of older students. In fact many don't go to college until there 30's or mid 20's because they were in the army, navy, or working such as yourself. Don't worry you'll fit in fine.

No age limits for education, you can
keep on studying until you old or until you
lost your memory, just by getting old,
by the way you not that old, still many things to learn,
non stop!!
good luck!!
