I plan on selling back my college textbooks on half.com but I've done some mild highlighting in them. The books are in really good shape, just lots of color coded highlighting. I even have a reference chart for all the color coded highlight I did!

But would someone still be willing to buy a book with highlighting in it? And how much would they be willing to pay for a book in very good condition minus highlighted pages? The book I bought was almost $100 but I intend to sell it for around $70 on half.com.

I would never buy a book with highlighting in it. If there is a lot of highlighting you might be able to sell if for about $20.

I've bought books with a good amount of highlighting in them for about $50 less than original price. I sold it later and lost 20 bucks on it. I prefer it to be the same color highlilghting so I can tell my color from theirs, but if you didn't highlight a bunch of irrelevant stuff I guess it wouldn't matter.

Yes, of course, but to sell quickly you may want to lower the price a little.

no, its fine, even better if you color-coded it, so it doesn't look like a mess
