Think of your A level as a stepping stone to further things.

If you achieve a good grade in English language you will be able to apply for a decent degree that will open career doors for you.

You may not be wanting to use English language in your actual chosen career but you can use its grade to achieve a high profile job with good earning power.

Expediency is the key - use what you have in order to achieve what you want.

If you do not understand English inside out, and Shakespeare through and through you are at a big disadvantage in life, I know, I have only 'O' level Literature and Language.
