So I really don't want to live at home. I don't even want to go to college, but it i do I would want to live at a dorm. I have no freedom at home, and I'm afraid that once I turn 18 my parents will still try to control my life and what I do, but if I live in a dorm I have more freedom. I know generally they don't have dorms, but are there some community colleges that have dorms?

Generally, no. Community colleges don't have dorms.

You always have the option of renting a room or an apartment near a community college.

Most do not. They're mostly meant to be commuter colleges. But some community colleges do have dorm facilities.

not that i am aware of.

Once you are 18 and have a job, you can aply for an apartment with a friend or two. You will need to be responsible to pay for utilties, rent, insurance, cable, internet, etc.

My recommendation (not knowing anything about you or your family) is to go to school and get a job at the same time while living at home. This way you save money, aren't home alot, are working towards your future and you are ahead of the game when you do move out.

Best of luck to you. WE've all been there, but you do still depend on your parents for money, etc. Soon yo uwill be on your own and can live by your own rules.

Some do, most don't. And it would be very expensive to live in a dorm if you're going to college near your home anyway. If you're going to college on your parents' dime, they still call the shots on big decisions like this. You'll have to negotiate your own freedom with your parents like the responsible adult you claim to be.

I've never seen one that has, but I will say there are many state colleges that cost around the same (+- $4,000) as community colleges where you can dorm.

Are you sure that really want absolute independence. it's a huge responsibility. In addition to the study will have to deal with many everyday problems. Campus housing in Montgomery County,Kansas is not bad.Town is a small, just over 33 thousand people http://worldpopulationclock.info/usa/kansas/montgomery-county but with nice people.

There's some, but they're not as common. I would look into the particular one you're interested in.

After reading some of your other crap I can see why you do not get along with your parents.

No, but some do have nearby apartments where you can have roommates.
