Architecture.. environmental design.. city, community, regional planning, and other related majors.

What courses should i take in high school that will look good and show colleges that i am ready and dedicated to major in the majors i listed above^^^?
I think i read somewhere that said taking humanities courses will be helpful if you wanted to major in architecture..
So i was wondering, what should i take? ( I will probably be taking them over the summer of this year):
-AutoCAD? Photoshop?
-sociology? philosophy?
- art history (theres a lot of categories so which type should i take?)
- mixed media?
- sculpting? drawing?
-science classes? APES?
.. any other suggestions/choices?

Please tell me which ones would be good, thanks!

Math and physics is very important to architecture, take those to the highest possible class.

Any computer related (like CAD and photo shop)

and art related classes are also important (if you have drafting in your school, take it).

For art history, ask your counselor or peers who have taken the classes about which one would be best for learning about history of architecture.

If you have humanities, they may also teach you some history about architecture.

Writing and speaking/presenting is important in almost all careers, so improve those skills throughout high school.

Just a word of advice:

In whatever class you take, there will always be something you can implement into your goal of architecture, so don't think any class is pointless. They all have a meaning in some way or another.

Use google,

and try searching for high school classes requirement for architecture, and you may find something.

Architecture is a combination of the tech and art. So in high school, in addition to the normal college prep classes, you want to take four years of science (preferably four years of lab science, specifically bio, chem, physics), four years of math (ideally up through at least pre-calculus), and as much art as you can handle.

For the art, you must place a priority on learning the basics of art and design. In other words, you need to learn to really draw. So take classes that involve drawing and painting from life. You can also take design classes - classes that teach you the principles of design. I'd take those sorts of classes before I bothered to take anything like Photoshop or AutoCAD. You need the skill before you learn such tools - and Photoshop isn't needed for architecture.

Art history would be a good idea, if you can fit it in. History as well. You need to understand what came before you, to be able to create new and important designs.
