Need a bit of advice with my assignment. I'm a student nurse?

I'm in the middle of writing an assignment for uni and realised that I have written it in the first person. In my last assignment I had to write "The student nurse" instead of "I". I have written in my notes for the conclusion to write it in the first person but can't remember if it should apply to the full essay. Any help is greatly appreciated :)

I am a 3rd year student nurse and generally, all academic essays should be written in third person; i.e. the author or the student. However it is acceptable to write in the 1st person to speak personally in conclusion. Hope this helps.
