I'll be starting college in the fall and I was just wondering how much money people spent during their freshman year.
I'll be going to a town of about 17,000 in Missouri that has (from what I hear) a fairly low cost of living.

It depends if you are planning on living on campus at the school or if you are off campus, do you plan on having a job while you are in school for the year or are you not going to? I try not to have a job when I'm in school because then it's one less thing that I would have t worry about. It also depends on if you are planning on eating off campus often so that you would need more money with you, food for your dorm room to snack on when you stay up late studying, I'm not totally sure what I spent for my first year of school, just make sure you're prepared for anything, there's always something you have to get for a class even if you don't plan on spending a whole lot.

Freshman year, i spent almost nothing beyond books and tuition. I spent 20 bucks a week on delivery and that was about it. By the time I graduated(and the drinking increased) it was probably closer to 40 a week on alcohol and 20 a week or so on delivery...at least.
